An online meeting was held between the Institute of Microbiology of ANAS and the Center for Agrarian Science and Innovation of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The purpose of the meeting was to exchange views on the current use of the achievements of microbiological science in the development of agriculture in Azerbaijan, future prospects, and identify possible areas for cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Director for Science of the Center for Agrarian Science and Innovation, Ph.D. Farman Karimov, Deputy Director for Economic Affairs Samir Suleymanov, directors and leading specialists of the Fruit and Tea Research Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Agricultural Research Institute, as well as the Plant Protection and Technical Plants Research Institute.

The meeting was attended by the Acting Director of the Institute of Microbiology, a corresponding member of ANAS Panah Muradov, Dr. Biology Samira Najafova, Dr. Biology Konul Bakhshaliyeva, Ph.D. Anar Huseynov, Ph.D. in Biology Irada Babayeva, and Dr. Biology  Farida Gahramanova spoke about the areas in which the company currently has opportunities for agricultural development. It was noted that the Institute of Microbiology is currently implementing practical projects in a number of areas with the Fruit and Tea Research Institute and the Vegetable Research Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture, and it is possible to expand this work in the future.

Finally, the need to enhance cooperation, the use of microbiological science, and the results obtained by the Institute of Microbiology in the development of agriculture in Azerbaijan were stressed out.
