Head of the Laboratory of Microbiological Biotechnology of the Institute of Microbiology of ANAS, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Konul Bakhshaliyeva, head of the Laboratory of Aquatic Microbiology, Ph.D. in Biology, Associate Professor Anar Huseynov, the researcher Gulnara Hasanova and the junior researcher Afsana Jamilli were on a mission in Shusha.
The trip took place at the invitation of the chairman of the board of the public legal entity "Management of the state reserve of the city of Shusha". The purpose of the visit was to conduct scientific and methodological consultations and take appropriate samples to ensure biological, especially microbiological and toxicological safety of natural sources that provide the city with drinking water, as well as exchange views on further activities.
During the trip, samples were taken from the water supply sources of the city of Shusha, some indicators were identified on the spot. Favorable conditions created by the management of the reserve allowed the institute staff to take samples from both plants and soil. The samples were taken also covered the Lachin corridor.
Currently, samples are being analyzed in the laboratories of the Institute of Microbiological Biotechnology, Aquatic Microbiology, Experimental Mycology and Soil Microbiology.
