The next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences (DBMS) of ANAS was held.
Opening the meeting organized at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology of the academy, the Vice-President of ANAS, chairman of the Scientific Council of the department, Academician Irada Huseynova acquainted the participants with the current issues. She noted that November 8 - Victory Day, written in golden letters in the heroic history of Azerbaijan, is approaching. According to the academician, great work is being done to restore the territories liberated after the Great Patriotic War, implementing infrastructure projects, preparing master plans for smart cities and villages, starting agricultural and industrial enterprises: “Preparations for the Great Return are in full swing. Mr. President's slogan "We will turn Karabakh into a paradise" is being consistently implemented. It is also important to start planning and implementing Victory Day events organized by DBMS and institutions. A field seminar on "Restoration of infrastructure of the Karabakh Scientific Research Base of the Institute of Genetic Resources of ANAS, organization of seed production of wheat and barley varieties created for the region" has already been held in Shikharkh village of Tartar region. The most important event of the section will be the II International Karabakh - Congress of Applied Sciences, dedicated to the Victory Day and the memory of the martyrs on November 8-10.
After the discussions, Academician Irada Huseynova gave instructions on relevant issues.
Then other issues on the agenda were discussed.
