Head of the Laboratory of Experimental Mycology of the Institute of Microbiology of ANAS, Ph.D., Associate Professor Irada Babayeva, a senior researcher, Ph.D. Lala Aliyeva, a researcher Vusala Isayeva and a junior researcher Asmar Mammadova visited the Absheron Experimental Station of the Scientific Research Institute of Plant Protection and Technical Plants of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan to take samples, make observations and discuss opportunities for joint research in accordance with the thematic plan of the institute. Station Director, Ph.D. in Agrarian sciences Jabrayil Aghayev and the head of the laboratory Mardan Tagiyev informed the staff of the institute about the work done at the Experimental Station, clarified some methodological approaches to sampling and exchanged views on possible future joint work. Finally, soil samples were taken from both open and covered areas to study the functional activity of nematophagous fungi used to control plant pests, and prepared for laboratory analysis.
