An event dedicated to September 27 - Memorial Day was held at the Institute of Microbiology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

At first, a minute's silence was held in memory of the sons of the country who heroically died for the territorial integrity of our country.

The event was opened by Panah Muradov, Director General of the Institute of Microbiology, corresponding member of ANAS, who emphasized the Remembrance Day, which was established according to the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated December 2, 2020, as an expression of deep respect for our soldiers and officers who fought heroically in the Patriotic War and died for the territorial integrity of our country, as well as all our martyrs. 

P. Muradov spoke to the event participants about the history of our Victory, the bravery and sacrifice of the martyrs and veterans of the Patriotic War who showed unparalleled heroism in liberating our lands from enemy aggression. He stressed out that the liberation of our cities and villages that have been under occupation for nearly 30 years, the restoration of the territorial integrity of our country, the end of the displacement life of the internally displaced persons and the creation of opportunities to return to their native lands is the most magnificent event of our modern history.

In the end, the employees of the institute paid a visit to the Alley of Martyrs II, commemorating the dear memory of our heroes who died for the freedom of our land, and laid flowers on their graves.
