It is not so easy to distinguish mushrooms by their appearance, there are subtle points in their collection and use. The recent increase in cases of mushroom poisoning is causing some concern among people.

In his statement to AZERTAC, Panah Muradov, General Director of the Institute of Microbiology of the Ministry of Science and Education, called on citizens to be careful in order to avoid mushroom poisoning: "Mushrooms are similar to plants due to certain signs, and animals due to another signs. However, it is currently characterized as an independent world of living things, and it is also one of the valuable sources of food from a practical point of view. Meanwhile, it has the ability to synthesize metabolites that can cause food poisoning. Poisonous species of mushrooms have been known to people since ancient times, and it can even be considered one of the first "biological weapons" used by humans. It is not so easy to choose these mushrooms from edible mushrooms due to their appearance. Thus, they are generally not considered to be highly differentiated organisms and are difficult to distinguish visually. For this reason, the following approach should be applied to mushrooms: "If you are not an expert, don't touch it, it will kill you!", he added.
