Institute of Microbiology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan ha aired the 3rd Republican competition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

The institute told AZERTAC that the project was organized taking into account the main strategic goals of the modern education system.

The main goal of the competition is to further increase students' interest in the science of microbiology, to improve theoretical and practical knowledge in this field, and to reveal abilities that serve the development of creative thinking.

In the competition among schoolchildren on the topic "Microorganisms through the eyes of children", students of the 5th and 11th grades, studying in secondary schools and lyceums of our republic, will learn about the ecology of microorganisms (bacteria and fungi), their role in nature and human life, their structure, beneficial and harmful effects and other characteristics. They can participate with their work (painting, model, sewing, sculpture). Handicrafts submitted to the competition are submitted until April 24.

The works submitted to the competition will be evaluated by the jury. According to the decision of the jury, diplomas and cash prizes will be awarded to the winners of the first, second and third places, and certificates will be given to students whose handicrafts are specially selected. It is planned to give diplomas to the teachers of specially selected students in the competition, and a letter of thanks to the educational institution where they work.

The results of the competition will be announced at the final meeting to be held at the Institute of Microbiology on May 3.
