The head of the Laboratory of Biologically Active Substances of the Institute of Microbiology of the Ministry of Science and Education, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Elman Iskandar, and a researcher at this laboratory, PhD in Biology Sabina Jafarzadeh, participated online in the Scopus-indexed international forum “Modern trends in the sustainable development of biological sciences”, held in Kazakhstan.
At the forum, the scientific work “Comparative study of pollen morphology and fertility in Pyrus L. species under in situ and ex situ conditions in Greater” Caucasus, Azerbaijan) in collaboration with E. Iskandar and S. Jafarzadeh is indexed in Scopus.
The article provides a comparative analysis of the morphometric parameters and pollen fertility of Pyrus L. species developing under different environmental conditions (in situ and ex situ). It has been established that a number of negative situations are observed in the pollen of plants distributed in ecologically unclean areas.
Microbiological scientists spoke at the international forum, answered questions in detail and were awarded a certificate.
