With the organizational support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the head of the Laboratory of Aquatic Microbiology of the Institute of Microbiology of ANAS, Ph.D. in Biology, Associate Professor Anar Huseynov visited the territories of our country liberated from enemy occupation.
A. Huseynov conducted observations with the aim of microbiological assessment of the state of water and soil in Fuzuli and Khojavend regions, and also took samples for laboratory research. The amount of oxygen, the degradation index, temperature, and pH of the water sources from which the samples were taken were determined on the spot.
The laboratories of Aquatic Microbiology, Microbiological Biotechnology, and Soil Microbiology of the Institute of Microbiology will continue extensive studies of water samples taken from the reservoir where the Kondalanchay, Gozluchay, Guruchay, and Agbulag rivers flow, as well as soil samples.
