The next meeting of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences was held on June 18.
The event was attended by the President of ANAS, Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, members of the Presidium, the steering staff of the Presidium and relevant persons.
Opening the meeting, President of ANAS, Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev spoke about the importance of recent structural reforms at the Academy. He noted that based on the decisions taken from the appeal of the members of ANAS to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev at the General Meeting of ANAS on May 27, 2021, the Academy faces very important tasks. Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev said that the close participation of our scientists in the implementation of the state's multifaceted policy in socio-economic and cultural-spiritual areas, especially in the restoration and construction work in the liberated territories, is one of the key tasks ahead. Azerbaijani scientists should mobilize their scientific potential in these areas, for which modern, innovative scientific, scientific-organizational and management technologies should be widely applied, stated President of ANAS.
Then, academician-secretary of ANAS, academician Arif Hashimov informed about scientific, scientific-organizational and personnel issues on the agenda.
