On July 1, the 5th anniversary of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology of ANAS was celebrated. In connection with this, the event was held at the institute.
Before the start of the event, the leadership and official faces of the institute visited the grave of Academician Jalal Aliyev on the 1st Alley of Honor.
Opening the meeting, the Vice President of ANAS, Director of this scientific institution, Academician Irada Huseynova, spoke about the rich scientific heritage of Academician Jalal Aliyev and noted that the current achievements of the institute were well received. Academician Irada Huseynova noted that Mr. Jalal laid the foundation of a number of new directions in domestic biological science, he was also the founder of a large scientific school, and today most of the staff of the institute are involved. He noted that Academician Jalal Aliyev was a prominent public and political figure and a great scholar, who devoted his entire life to the development of Azerbaijani science, giving special importance to the involvement of talented young people in the development of the youth. It was noted that for the last five years the number of scientific staff has increased at the institute, the Academic Council and the Dissertation Council have been established. The 4th issue of the "Scientific Work of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology of ANAS" has already been published. For the journal were purchased both printed (printed ISSN 2709-0744), and online electronic (E-ISSN 2709-0752) serial numbers of the international standard (ISSN). The journal is included in the "List of periodicals recommended for publication of the main results of dissertations in the Republic of Azerbaijan" of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The event was attended by the followers of the school Jalal Aliyev - corresponding members of ANAS Ibrahim Azizov, Novruz Guliyev, Deputy Director for Research, Ph.D. in Biology, Associate Professor Alamdar Mammadov, Doctors of Biology Saftar Suleymanov, Sayyara Ibadullayeva, Department of Education, Ph.D. in Biology Samira Rustamova and leading researcher Gulnara BalakishiYeva. Emphasizing the exclusive role of academician Jalal Aliyev in the formation of his scientific career, employees noted that even in the most difficult periods of life, the academician thought only about the science and the current success of the institute. It was noted that today the institute, founded by academician Jalal Aliyev, became a real temple of science.
Professor Elchin Iskanderzadeh, an employee of the Azerbaijan International Academy of Turkic Studies in Ankara (Turkey), congratulated the staff of the Institute on the 5th anniversary. He also presented a diploma and a medal "Golden Star" to academician Irade Huseynova for his selection of an active member of the International Academy of Turkic Studies for a great contribution to the development of Azerbaijani science.
Then the leading researcher of the Laboratory of Plant Biotechnology Mahira Mammadova was awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Institute for the 60th anniversary and fruitful scientific activity.
Finally, was shown the film "Eternal Lamp" about the life and scientific activities of Academician Jalal Aliyev.
