On June 29, 2021, a regular online meeting of the Dissertation Council BED 1.07, operating at the Institute of Microbiology of ANAS, carried out.
During the meeting chaired by Academician M.A.Salmanov, the dissertation work of Nizami Rza oglu Namazov titled as "Mycobiota of essential oil plants of the flora of Azerbaijan, bactericidal and fungicidal activity of their components", presented in specialty 2414.01 - "Microbiology" for the degree of Doctor of Biological Sciences, was listened.
The dissertation work was carried out in the Laboratories of Microbiological Biotechnology and Biologically Active Substances of the Institute of Microbiology of ANAS.
The presented work is devoted to the species composition and manifestations of ecotrophic specialization of a number of essential oil plants in the flora of Azerbaijan, as well as the assessment of various materials of plant origin for bactericidal and fungicidal properties. Some of the dissertation results were included in the ANAS annual report as important results and were verified with positive results in field studies.
In conclusion, the dissertation received a positive assessment. The members of the dissertation council unanimously voted for the fact that the dissertation presented by Nizami Rza oglu Namazov for the degree of Doctor of Biological Sciences meets the requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
