Today, the II International Karabakh - Congress of Applied Sciences, dedicated to the Victory Day and the memory of our martyrs, has kicked its work in hybrid mode at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).
Organizers of the congress by Azerbaijan side, which is attended by representatives from more than 20 countries on the Zoom platform, are ANAS Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Institute of Genetic Resources, Nakhchivan State University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Azerbaijan State Agrarian University, Khazar University, and Nakhchivan University. The organizers from Turkey are the Institute of Economic Development and Social Research under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey.
At the opening ceremony, the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Turkey were played.
Then, a video dedicated to the Victory of Azerbaijan in the 44-day Patriotic War was displayed.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the chairman of the Organizing Committee, Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Irada Huseynova greeted the participants on behalf of the chairman of the congress, President of ANAS, Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev. She congratulated everyone on Victory Day and notified the holding of the congress on such a day an important historical event.
Then, acting first Vice-President of ANAS, Academician-Secretary of ANAS, Academician Arif Hashimov wished success to the congress, taking place on one of the most important days in the history of modern Azerbaijan - Victory Day, the first anniversary of which we celebrated.
He paid tribute to the memory of our martyrs and wished healing and long life to the wounded and veterans.
After the historic victory in the Patriotic War, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, large-scale restoration work and large-scale construction activities has begun in Karabakh. According to the academician, ANAS is ready to fulfill its obligations in the restoration of Karabakh, as well as contributing to the territorial integrity of our country, and has all the potential for this: "To underpin the work done in this direction at ANAS, which is the coordinator of science in our country", decision was made “on the Action Program and Action Plan on the tasks of ANAS in connection with the scientific-research work on the liberated territories of Azerbaijan", he noted.
