The international group of experts of the UN Economic Commission for Europe visited the Institute of Microbiology of ANAS.

It was noted that UN expert Karin Fueri and Deputy Director of the National Environmental Monitoring Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Anar Tagiyev has met with Director General of the Institute of Microbiology, corresponding member of ANAS Panah Muradov within the "Environmental Review Report".
The sides exchanged views on monitoring Azerbaijan's water and soil resources, and discussed environmental issues.
Panah Muradov informed about the activities of the Institute of Microbiology, research in the field of water and soil microbiology, substantiated the need for microbiological aspects of monitoring water and soil resources. The forthcoming research also provided information on biomonitoring of transboundary waters in the liberated territories.
Karin Fueri stressed the importance of the Institute of Microbiology's participation in international projects in solving existing problems, emphasizing that joint cooperation would be very fruitful.
