Head of the Laboratory of Water Microbiology of the Institute of Microbiology of ANAS, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Anar Huseynov visited Saatli, Sabirabad and Imishli districts along the Araz River for 7 days.
In order to assess the microbiological condition of the Araz transboundary river, the level of pollution was observed on the spot and samples were taken for laboratory analysis.
The physical and chemical properties of the sampled water and soil were studied and the destructive index, temperature and pH were determined on site.
Extensive research of water samples, identification of bacteria and fungi has already begun in the Laboratory of Water Microbiology of the Institute of Microbiology.
