On April 22, a regular meeting of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan was held.
The meeting was attended by the Acting President of ANAS, Academician Arif Hashimov and other members of the Presidium.
Opening the event, Academician Arif Hashimov informed event participants about the issues on the agenda.
First, Academician Arif Hashimov submitted the Certificates of Honor of ANAS to corresponding member of ANAS Panah Muradov, Dr. Biology Fuad Gulubeyov, and Assistant Vice-President of ANAS Sayad Mustafayeva.
At the meeting, decisions were also made on anniversaries dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Academician Zemfira Safarova, the 65th anniversary of ANAS corresponding member Shakir Musayev and the 75th anniversary of Firangiz Alizadeh. In addition, the new composition of the Academic Council of the Institute of Microbiology of ANAS was approved, as well as full-time doctoral student of the Institute of Biophysics Turkan Samadova was expelled from doctoral studies at her own request.
Then a number of scientific and organizational issues were discussed at the event.
