The head of the Laboratory of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of ANAS, Academician Maharram Babayev, the leading researcher of the institute, PhD in Agrarian Sciences Firoza Ramazanova, the head of the laboratory of the Institute of Microbiology, Doctor of Biological Sciences Samira Najafova co-authored the monograph "Lands of the Republic of Azerbaijan".
The work mainly discusses the results obtained during the study of the Kur-Araz lowland, Ganja-Gazakh sloping plain and irrigated lands of the Absheron Peninsula and their productivity.
The monograph reflects scientific approaches to the formation of cultivated soils in dry subtropics, its genesis, classification problems, including biological activity, protection of soil fertility and ways to increase the value, registration and high productivity of soils of great importance in the national economy.
The monograph presented to the scientific community can be useful for biologists, soil scientists, as well as agricultural specialists.
