Potatoes purchased on the consumer market were transferred to the Institute of Microbiology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan for analysis in order to determine their suitability for human consumption. (March 30, ITV Khabar, on air 20:00) General Director of the Institute of Microbiology Corresponding Member of ANAS Panah Muradov gave an interview on the results of the microbiological analysis of potatoes submitted to the institution for analysis, to the news program "İTV Xəbər", broadcast on April 13, 20:00. P. Muradov said that as a result of several stages of research conducted at the Laboratory of Microbiological Biotechnology, undesirable signs of fungal and bacterial disease were found in the food product.
The scientist noted that when using such a product for food, people may experience complications. He emphasized that since the toxic substances synthesized by the fungus are compounds of various diseases, including those of a carcinogenic nature, this compound can cause cancer.
