Second-year students of the specialty "Food Engineering" of the Faculty of Social Management of the Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management and Associate Professor of the Department of "Hotel and Restaurant Business" PhD in Biology Gulnar Mammadli visited the Institute of Microbiology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Director General of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS Panah Muradov provided general information about the main activities of this institution and the work performed. Later, students got acquainted with the research work carried out in the laboratories of the institute.
During the meeting, Head of the Laboratory of Microbiological Biotechnology of the Institute Professor Konul Bakhshaliyeva, Head of the Laboratory of Soil Microbiology Associate Professor Samira Najafova, Head of the Laboratory of Experimental Mycology Associate Professor Irada Babayeva, Head of the Laboratory of Phytopathogenic Microorganisms and Biological Control PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Gunel Gasimova, Head of the Laboratory of Water Microbiology PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Anar Huseynov informed the students about the research work carried out in the laboratories, clearly demonstrated some experiments, and responded students' questions.
Further, the staff of the Institute of PhD in Biology Ilham Aliyev, Vusala Khalilzadeh, Konul Bayram, Vafa Hasanova, research workers and doctoral students Gulnara Hasanova, Gulnar Shirinova, Agil Ahmadli familiarized the students with the rules for operating equipment in laboratories.
