On May 23-24, 2024, Director General, scientific secretary, heads of laboratories and employees of the Institute of Microbiology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan participated in a scientific and practical conference on the topic “The role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in improving the environment in Azerbaijan.” The two-day conference was organized jointly by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
On the first day of the conference, Director General of the Institute of Microbiology, corresponding member of ANAS Panah Muradov made a plenary report on the topic “General characteristics of pathogenic species of microbiota of various plants of Azerbaijan,” and the head of the laboratory “Biologically active substances,” Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Elman Iskander, made a lecture on topic “Biodiversity of the forest ecosystem and factors influencing it.”
The head of the laboratory “Microbiological Biotechnology”, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Konul Bakhshaliyeva delivered a lecture on topic “Mycological assessment of fruits and berries”, and full-time doctoral student of the institute Agil Ahmadli gave a report “The use of liptonic enzymes obtained from micromycetes in the purification of oil-containing wastewater pollutants.”
Each of the reports aroused great interest, questions were answered.
