Pursuant to the "Admission plans of higher education institutions, scientific institutions and organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the year 2024 for doctorate and dissertate training" approved by the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 163s dated March 27, 2024, MSERA Institute of Zoology, announces acceptance on the qualifications indicated below:
Doctorate studies for Doctor of Philosophy program
2414.01 – Microbiology – 1 place ( intramural, at the expense of the budget)
2430.01 – Mycology – 1 place ( intramural, at the expense of the budget)
Dissertate studies for Doctor of Philosophy program
2414.01 – Microbiology – 1 place ( at the expense of the budget)
Doctorate studies for Doctor of Sciences program
2414.01 – Microbiology – 1 place ( extramural, at the expense of the budget)
2430.01 – Mycology – 1 place ( extramural, at the expense of the budget)
Dissertate studies for Doctor of Sciences program
2414.01 – Microbiology – 1 place ( at the expense of the budget)
2430.01 – Mycology – 1 place ( on a paid basis)
Document submission will be run electronically through the "Education Centralized Information System" (TMIS). Those who willing to submit a document to the doctoral program should enter the portal.edu.az website of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, select the service "Registration of students in higher and secondary educational institutions" and register in accordance with the instructions. Sending applications via portal.edu.az will commence on April 16 of the current year, and May 15 is the deadline for receiving documents.
Admission to doctoral studies is carried out in accordance with the "Rules for establishing doctoral studies and admission to doctoral studies" (paragraphs 3.6, 3.7, 3.8 and 3.9) approved by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 129 dated July 10, 2010.
The following documents should be submitted for admission to doctorate and dissertate studies in the Doctor of Philosophy program:
- application in the name of the head of the scientific institution;
- personnel registration sheet;
- autobiography;
- 2 photographs (3x4 cm in size);
- extract from the labor book for those with work experience;
- certificate from the workplace;
- a list of published scientific works or an abstract on the chosen majoring;
- duly certified copy of the diploma on graduation from a higher educational institution (certificate on the recognition of educational documents for citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who have studied abroad);
- a confirmation document issued by the State Examination Center to those who have an international certificate of foreign language skills (IELTS, TOEFL, TestDaf, DALF if available) or to those who have obtained a passing score in a foreign language;
- a copy of the identity document.
Those who willing to be admitted to doctoral studies in the Doctor of Philosophy program must pass the foreign language exam conducted by the State Examination Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Those who have a valid international language certificate (IELTS, TOEFL, TestDaf, DALF) are exempted from the foreign language entrance exam. The equivalence of the exam results of the international language certificate is determined by the State Examination Center.

Those who successfully pass the foreign language exam are allowed to take the exam in Philosophy (on September 4, 5, 6, 2024) and specialization (on September 9, 10, 11, 2024) held in September. The lists for the foreign language exam will be sent to the State Examination Center by the Ministry of Science and Education. The foreign language exam is planned to be held on 09.06.2024. The results of the foreign language exam are uploaded to the portal by the Ministry of Science and Education.
The following documents must be submitted for admission to doctorate and dissertate studies in the Doctor of Sciences program:
- application (in the name of the head of the institution or organization where the doctoral program operates and which carries out dissertate studies);
- personnel registration sheet;
- autobiography;
- 2 photographs (3x4 cm in size);
- certificate from the workplace;
- extract from the labor book;
- list of published scientific works;
- duly certified copy of the scientific degree diploma of Doctor of Philosophy (Candidate of Sciences);
- duly certified copy of the diploma on graduation from a higher educational institution (certificate on the recognition of educational documents for citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who have studied abroad);
- a copy of the identity document.
