ANAS Institute of Microbiology hosted an event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Academician Mammad Salmanov.
Opening the anniversary event, Director General of this scientific institution, corresponding member of ANAS Panah Muradov spoke about the glorious life and rich scientific activity of a prominent scientist-microbiologist, a holder of the Order of the "Shohrat". He said that the merits of the academician have always been highly valued by the state.
P.Muradov considered the Order of the President on awarding Mammad Salmanov "Honorary Diploma of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan" from January 11, 2022 as a great attention, not only to the merits of M.Salmanov, but also a local microbiologist.
He brought to the attention that the scientific activity of academician Mammad Salmanov is mainly dedicated to microbiology, biological productivity and the ecological status of water sources in Azerbaijan.
At the event, a member of the Academic Council, Doctor of Biological Sciences Fuad Gulubeyov shared his memories of the academician and told about his scientific activities.
Further, a member of the Trade Union of the Institute Shafiga Feyzullayeva and heads of laboratories have delivered speeches .
The scientist was presented with a memorial gift on behalf of the staff of the institute.
In conclusion, Academician M. Salmanov expressed gratitude to the President of the country Ilham Aliyev, the leadership of the Academy and the organizers of the event for his attention.
