After the liberation of our lands from the Armenian occupation, Institute of Microbiology of the Ministry of Science and Education kicked off scientific research work in Karabakh. Research, restoration, efficient use of our land and water resources is the main demand of our day and one of the important tasks facing our scientists. It is known that the tributaries of the Kura and Araz rivers, which are the main water sources of Azerbaijan, are formed in the territories of neighboring countries. As a result of scientific research, it was defined that Araz and Kura rivers, locating n the border zone with Armenia, have been intensively polluted by our hated neighbors in the last 20 years, stated to AZERTAC, Director General of the Institute of Microbiology, corresponding member of ANAS Panah Muradov.
