We regret to inform you that the Institute of Microbiology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan has suffered a heavy loss. Today, around 6 o'clock in the morning, the head of the Laboratory of Water Microbiology, the chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the Institute, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Anar Teyub oglu Huseynov passed away.
Anar Huseynov was born on June 24, 1979 in the village of Kabirli, Beylagan district, Republic of Azerbaijan.
In 1996-2000, he studied at the Biology faculty of BSU, which he graduated with honors. In 2000, he entered the master's program of this university, majoring in "Microbiology and virology" and in 2002, he graduated with honors.
In 2003, he entered the doctoral program of BSU, specializing in "Microbiology", which he graduated in 2006. Having successfully defended his thesis, he received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Biology.
A. Huseynov, who started working as a junior research associate at the Institute of Microbiology of the National Academy of Sciences in 2007, was elected head of the laboratory in 2016 and served this position with honor until the end of his life.
Since 2016, the student was also elected as the chairman of the Professional Committee of the Institute of Microbiology.
During the period of his scientific activity, he collected enough factual material about the dynamics of changes in the ecological state of the waters of the Caspian Sea and rivers, the microbiocenosis of sources, determined the regularities of the composition and distribution of autochthonous microbiota of water and soil, and established himself as a well-known specialist in this area.
He is the author of more than 100 scientific articles, theses and conference materials, published in domestic and foreign publications.
The scientist worked effectively in the field of personnel training and social activities of the institute. Unfortunately, his untimely death put an end to his scientific and social activities at the institute. However, his memory will always live in the hearts of those who loved him, who knew him, and the employees of the institute.
