The history of each nation was created by its wise and heroic critics. In this sense, the great leader Heydar Aliyev forever left his signature in the most significant and valuable stage of the national history. After this historical person, who loved his people and devoted his whole life to Azerbaijan, was elected the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan, i.e. Since 1969, the rhythm of the republic's life has changed and resumed. Panah Muradov, Director General of the Institute of Microbiology, corresponding member of ANAS, announced this in AZERTAJ. He added that during the leadership of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, who closely follows all areas of science, concrete steps were taken to create a number of scientific institutions and strengthen their material and technical base. Important decisions for the development of microbiological science were taken even in the Soviet period, when Azerbaijan was led by this brilliant person. Thus, in February 1972, according to the decision of the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the Azerbaijan SSR, the microbiological sector was created taking into account the importance of the development of microbiological science and scientific research. This sector functioned under this name for 22 years, that is, until 1994. A year after the election of Heydar Aliyev as the President of independent Azerbaijan in 1993, by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the microbiological sector was assigned the status of the institute. It is registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan as a state enterprise that carries out fundamental scientific research work in the field of microbiology and biotechnology. All this was realized thanks to hard work, visionary and purposeful policy of the great leader.
