A scientific-practical orkshop on "Modern approaches in hazelnut cultivation" was held in the conference hall of "Azerbaijan Hazelnut Producers and Exporters Association" Public Union, organized by the Scientific Research Institute of Fruit and Tea Cultivation.
The seminar started with the speech of the Director of the institute, Ilham Garagurbanli, and the Deputy Head of the Zagatala District Executive Authority, Ilkin Shafizade.
Later, Mehraj Abbasov, Deputy Director of the Institute of Genetic Resources, Raisa Vojegova, Director of the Institute of Climate-Friendly Agriculture of the MEA of Ukraine, Konul Bakhshaliyeva, head laboratory of the Institute of Microbiology, Vlado Moulis, head of the Gospodarstvo Moulis farm, head of the Unanov Farm, Vice-President of the Ukrainian Hazelnut Association president Vasili Babanski, FERERRO company expert Domenico Manfredi and head of "AGRO-NOVATOR" LLC Igor Milchev made speeches.
The practical part of the seminar was continued at the Zagatala Support Station of the Scientific Research Institute of Fruit and Tea Cultivation.
There was a wide discussion about the current situation. Panah Muradov, Director General of the Institute of Microbiology, who participated in the discussions, expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the meeting and highly appreciated such initiatives.
Workshop participants participated in the process of determining aflatoxin in hazelnuts in the field using the Reveal q+ test. Later, Vlado Moulis conducted a practical training on pruning hazelnut bushes and trees in the territory of the Zagatala Base Station.
